Welcome at jora.tech
Our story.
Our origin can be traced back all the way until 2018, where jora.tech's founders Joachim and Raphael first met at the University of Applied Sciences JOANNEUM in Kapfenberg. Not only did they both graduate at the Institute of Industrial Management, but they also collaborated as researchers to help build up the Smart Production Lab – one of the largest learning factories in Europe.
After four years of collaboration their paths took different directions. Raphael stayed in academia to pursue a PhD, deepening his expertise in data-driven process optimization, while Joachim moved into innovation management at a leading engineering company in the pharmaceutical industry, gaining valuable industry experience.
A few years later, their paths crossed again – this time with a shared vision: To combine scientific rigor, industrial know-how and entrepreneurial drive in building jora.tech. Today, that vision powers our mission to transform the process industry with cutting edge technology.
At jora.tech, we make production smarter, more sustainable and more reliable. Our models combine data, physics and human expertise to cut scrap, reduce material use and save energy – turning wasted resources into measurable efficiency gains. Validated in extrusion processes, our methods have already proven to reduce resource consumption significantly.
